I was wondering if anybody might know the cause of a squeak I've got on my 97 Civic CX. I'm wondering if it might be from the throwout bearing. It squeaks continously until I put a little pressure on the clutch pedal then it goes away. Any ideas?

All the time: in and out of gear, while driving, and at idle.

i think that is the throwout bearing...someone with a little more expertise back me up or put me to shame...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

maybe it needs adjusting? it sounds like perhaps there's a lack of tension somewhere

I thought it might be the throwout bearing going bad but it does the exact opposite of what you would expect it to do. Normally when your throwout bearing goes bad it makes a horrible grinding noise when you push the clutch in, mine stops making noise when you push it in.
