This thread is a present from me to GSR....

    Check it out...... haha

Needed to get out of some income tax, so i bought a new New Holland T6070

You can show up to 60% depreciation on a new piece of equipment in the 1rst year alone, so it works well

I sit in the baler alot during the summer, so this should make it a little more enjoyable

    wanna run um??

nice, good thing is not green, that is a far nicer machine than the JDs. Should be a nice writeoff anyway, enough to pay for that new motor!

oooook then. Nevermind the fact that it is basically a blue MX series...

I priced/drove an equivalent JD machine.....

the cab access and interior noise level of the JD made me opt for the NH..... even though i originally wanted a JD

I have always thought the 20 and 30 series JD's have been way too loud inside.... just didn't know how much too loud till i drove the NH

not much a fan of the JD common rails either...... had our fair problems on the sprayer

seriously? The (only) 20 (8420) I was in/worked with was extremely quiet inside. The thing I hated about it was the cab was sealed way too well and it made it nearly impossible to close the door without cracking the rear window.

all the 20 and 30 series stuff seems loud....IMO

Like at Yaggies they have 3 STX 500's and one JD 9520....

It is unbelievable how much quieter the STX's are

Gary and Jason which tractor do you feel is nicer/quieter.... the STX 500 or the 9520??

Its not like I hate green.... I really had intended to buy one

The ONE tractor i would not have any part of is a Cat.....I had no idea how worthless those things are till I got the privilege of using one on the east side

Ha, the STX 535 is hands down THE large frame farm tractor. In price, quality, comfort and power it is unmatched.
The new Challenger MT865 (510hp) that was just bought is one hell of a tractor too though, i was pushing through 3-4 foot deep mud pits with the ripper on the back like nothing. I am anxious to have it and a STX 535 with the same implement in the spring for comparison.

Oh, and yes the JDs are a shit load louder than the red stuff. The cat is waaaay quieter than the JDs and on par with the STX, but with a better ride
