I never said anything about disabling day time running lights. Where the fuck did you get this? I said I want my Auto headlights turned off, nothing else. Also, Why the hell would I need more light during the day, you're playing devils advocate and failing miserably. I'll take my chances in turning off my DRLs if thats what is involved in getting rid of the auro headlights. I usually run my headlights during the day anyways. I am not concerned about my headlight being on during the day, but the fact that they turn on in the accessory position. Then, while cranking, it cuts power as the HID is trying to turn on, then Powers them up again. I asked a pretty reputable source about this who has had to warranty a bunch because of this situation. -
What type of bulbs does your truck have? I will look for a set of good high-output bulbs(not SilverStar junk). Put them in your low and high beams and it will be much more light then stock.
If you want to try and do a OEM HID retrofit. I am more then willing to help. I have wanted to try and do this.
Why not just not use the auto headlights? Pretty sure my Dad's 05 Colorado has the option for auto and manual.

9006 low, 9005 high, not sure whats in the fogs.Read my post above you for answer to auto headlights question. You can turn the auto headlights off after you start the truck. which I don't want to do every time I get in the vehicle.

The auto lights is not what kills HIDs. It is that they get turned on and off multiple times. Regular bulbs have the same problems.
A Selective-Yellow bulb in the fog lights really helps light up the road when its snowy outside.

This went horribly off topic, but the points being made are good. For the safety of everyone else on the road, please don't put HID's in non-HID housings.

wow that is very douchbag-ish of you. If im ever behind you i will be sure to put all of my 280watts of xenon right into your mirrors. And dont put hids in those fucking stock housings, they are terrible and your liable to cause an accident. In fact, if someone hits you at night and they say that your lights were not regulation you are at fault, and it can be proven in court quite easily

I say shit to people with hids's and non proper housings all the time. It looks like complete ass and does nothing for being able to see better at night. It does how ever make the car obnoxious and unsafe. But as long as you get the fancy blue light, right? Thats 3/4 the reason why i stopped cruising, slow paced and constantly getting fucking shined with crap hid setups
some cars will get more light on the road but at the expense of other drivers saftey. If you cant be standing outside your vehicle with your headlights on and look down at them with out hurting your eyes you fucked up.
This goes for about 95% of people with those scat ass mks hid's they buy for 100 dollars and put in every fucking light hole they can find.
