AR-10 FTW!you might want to look into a Smith Vortex hider. I recently found out that they also accept Smith QD suppressors, but to get one on the civvy market you have to look up a dude going by "Fisher Enterprises".
Offtopic: anyone know of anywhere in town to get Mosin-Nagants?

Semi-auto, yes, mag fed guns. basically, if it looks mean the jerk offs wanna ban it. sounds like after the demonstrations and stuff Obama and his buddy's are backpedaling on the issue and changing their tune. (for now)

the ar-10 i was looking at was about 100 buck more than my ar-15, but it was pretty basic

i haven't seen any AR-10s for under $1400. Is it possible to get them cheaper than that?
Also, I called Gander Mountain and they said they were out of them. The guy ont he phone also didn't know what they were called, he asked the other guy "do we have any more of those really old rifles?".

It came to $12xx with all the accessories. I think i paid right at $1k or $990 or something for the rifle itself. I know there isnt any at gander mtn either i called around, thats why i bought this one i couldnt beleive they had one! They do have a couple AR15s left down here though There was 6 in the case when i got mine

Why lighten the barrel? We've had 20" comp hbars and also 16" regular barrels, the comp hbar was so much nicer to shoot, but then again i'm used to shooting target rifles... That and the thinner barrel one was rediculously hot after firing a couple shots..
