i called him when i was tuning my car for the first time and he told me that hes great with tuning e85 and i was excited and then the next sentance was is "is it a import". he said he no longer tunes imports. i have also heard the falling off the dyno part before also but i asked around and i was directed towards RS and couldent be happier

IDK, I thought Andy just had an import on the rollers just last week. He had my junk on there last Sunday. He seems to make my stuff run alright..

ive heard great things about andy but everytime weve tried to contact him he says he will not tune imports. we tried many times since hes good with E85 but just doesnt cater to all genres i guess

I guess my reasoning is that I personally have never had Andy tune anything for me (lack of AWD dyno is only reason) so I always go back to who I have had good luck with over the years which is Ron. Obviously Andy is a very competent tuner as well so I won't/don't talk bad about him.

in all honesty thoough theres alot of "competent" tuners out there but when it comes down to it theres not alot of people out there like ron. he not only runs a tight ship when it comes to his business but hes also just an awesome guy to deal with. its not often you come across someone with that level of customer service whos willing to go the extra mile. if you're not happy, rons not happy and hell do everything he can to make it worth your while.

it doesnt take much to make AFRs look good, but it takes alot for someone to drive away and think to themselves they need to call someone and tell them about this guy cause he just blew your mind with customer service.

it already seems like most of the people in this thread rep ron so i wont beat a dead horse any more

ron is the only person i have acually felt comfortable around while he tuned cars. i have never had a car tuned by him personally, but been there a few times, and i can say he has my vouch.

Db was stupid when we were there, those guys are interesting. not for me.

and i was there when andy got all butt hurt because he straped a car down shitty and it fell off. i mean you strap enough cars down it's bound to happin that you miss something or w/e. but he was mad at scott/all imports. and was bitchy.

So like said earlier ron is the man.

so does he tune imports if it has a different motor? like a import body and an American motor, like a ls1ish something or another. my guess is that he doesnt want anything to do with the whole "import scene" after what what happened. but i have met andy and he is a hell of a guy and have had friends dyno there and they have always been impressed.

I have always had great experience with Ron, been using him for years, one of a very few # of people I would trust entirely with my car.

I tried Andy once, just for a couple pulls, not actual tuning, and to be honest, he was a dick pretty much (partially my fault for not having my car ready, but i didn't know he was going to be there, so I threw it on for the hell of it, but he was still rude).

Yeah in my experience, he doesn't seem to like the young guys.

like with most things you don't get the same respect like the old guys.

sounds like a lot of people like rs. if so many people have had good luck with them, you cant go wrong

I am perty sure if you are running a ls1 with a system like HPT he will cater to you..... I think andy is very capable with HP tuners and EFI live?? maybe not??

That is why i would be going to him anyway

Yeah I should make it clear I didn't mean it to seem like I was talking down about him. I'm definitely a "fan" of Andy.

yeah thats what i figured, i am still torn between hp tuners or efi live, i have heard great about both but im not sure which i will go with, i guess i will decided when the time comes. oh and btw zac, remember what we talked about a few weeks ago...well its officially in progress.

sorry to thread jack, but if many people have had good luck with a certain shop like RS, then i would go there if i were you bryant.
