1990 geo storm

i have a friend that has a 1990 geo storm. he wants to do an engine swap. what kind of engine would fit right in and bolt like the stock for better proformance.

Don't quote me, but apparently a 2.4 C24SE Isuzu motor out of a Rodeo bolts up without any custom fab work, it might be worth researching. He might also want to find a 1.6 DOHC out of a GSi and turbo it. I used to have GSi back in the day and I actually miss it, I wish I had it back, it was a fun little car.

Same car, not sure if it was the same motor, but the 1.8 that they came with had a turbo on it. Might look into that community and see what you can slap on there.
I know a lot of people mess with storms, here's an old site I found helpful..
