Ive had good experience with southpointe on 32nd. They don't screw you over with parts you don't need or jack up part prices.

1998 Grand Cherokee LTD - Winter beater

N/A is the expensive way to go slow

Ive got an issue with my Wifes car. I have exhausted all my knowledge and googles knowledge. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good mechanic shop to run some diagnostics and tell me whats wrong.

Its a Monte carlo and It will not start. The battery is fine and it was getting fuel and spark but wouldnt start up. I replaced the fuel filter, the fuel pump is running fine and Checked the timing belt but I dont know how to tell if its jumped a tooth. And there are no CEL's.

          Pile of shit

Thanks in advance for the shop reference.

question...... is it a newer monte carlo?.... my parents had one and my dad was dickin around with something and ended up tripping the anti theft and the car wouldnt start. so maybe you having the same issue? just an option

Touche son. He has been my family mechanic for years and you are not kidding he really will only fix what you tell him to do. Place is fuckin BUSY tho.

I can also vouch for Corey's, worked closely with Frank there on more than one occasion and he's one of the best.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

its a 1997. It does have one of those computer chips in the key but the anti theft light isnt flashing. It doesnt have remote start.

is the chip in the key bad then maybe?

I brought the Talon there one time back in the day when I was having problems. They told me they couldn't fix it because it had too many missing and too many aftermarket parts.

I also tried using both keys for the ignition and it didnt change anything but I will check into that as well. I think I am going to replace the fuel preasure regulator. I dont think thats going to work, worth a shot.

word.....highly unlikely it is the FPR, and even with 20psi that thing is going to pop and fire

take the cap off the schrader valve on the rail and open it for a second, if you have crisp pressure you are good

have you had the low coolant light come on recently. could be the upper intake plennum/gasket (i'm assuming you have a 3100). something to check into at least. good luck.
