WOW...seems to me like alot of you people have NEVER been to court...
"innocent until proven guilty" my ass.....IF this does go to court, and the guy who turned you in shows up for court, your screwed. But i dont think it will, some lady called the cops on me for passing her at a high rate of speed on the i-state and she then proceeded to follow me to my house to tell me she called the cops on me, so i called the cops myself, they came and talked to me and said that nothing would come of it.
But like i said, if this does go to court, and the guy who turned you in shows up, you will LOSE, unless you have a lawyer, but who actually hires a lawyer to get out of a traffic violation?

99% of cases where the cop wasnt there to witness the act wont hold up. Just say the old guy was tailgating you and you were tryin to get away from him. then he proceded to fallow you and cause a disturbance in a public area. then its your word against his too. when he says you have no proof of that, you say "my story is just as true as yours" or sumthin like that

[QUOTE=Eurofan;306128] I headed back to the main campus with 3 other girls after the class down 10th street.[QUOTE]

If the person who turned him in shows up for court to testify, he's probably fucked, unless he has a lawyer. but why pay a lawyer $200-$500 for a $100 ticket..

id take it to court.

im going agree with John here on this one! it has happened to me before, but it was an off duty cop, and i got screwed over by him and lost my dl because of a careless driving ticket
good luck there Eurofan, you might have a chance if you bring your 3 friends w/ you.

thats what you get for putting wheels on your car...
young kid + obviously too nice of a car = police and public harassment.
get used to being pulled over for bs. it comes with the territory.
in all seriousness though my family has won traffic violation cases against police officers because there were three or four people in the vehicle to testify. tell the court and pay the money to subpoena your three friends and odds are nothing will materialize. if you do go to court, ask the gentleman how he caught up to you if you were going so fast, and then ask that he be served the same ticket.

Do you think the case will even see the light of day?Apparently its just being filed as a complaint
When the lady called me in for passing her at a
high rate of speed the cop said he wouldve just given me a warning...but i think it all depends on how far the guy who complained takes it. Since he is a retired cop he might talk to the prosecuter and it might go to court... -

Think about it...I am sure he is got all giddy about it- "time to relive the glory days"

If you were to ask that question the first thing they would say is...."thats irrelevant."
It's not hard to catch up to someone while going the speed limit.
