limited slip differential

I'm really losing it here...
(don't think I've ever heard a domestic guy on my side of the fence say LSD....so maybe that's my problem
)but yeah... I'd like to find myself a supercoupe center section (3:27 T-lok) to throw in the car. Be able to run slicks or DRs at ISD (can't get 'em clean if only one side is spinning)... see if I can get some consistency in my car and run brackets this year. ..And then of course it'd be much more fun if I were to hit Auto-x, and random screwing off... with the different differential.
(unless.... wonder if anyone locally will put together a 8.8 with new gears and differential for a decent price)

ok i feel that now one wants to participate because they bought a car and spent the money on it but dont want to show us what it has. but at the same time i think there needs to be sponsors and alot of publicity outside of north dakota, minnesota from what i have heard the only place they have real drifting is in california but i guess we will just have to see
-
maybe you only hear about it elsewhere because there are tracks in other places? where is there to practice drifting in this area besides parking lots? sure, you could try it on the public streets, but when you hit the curb... there's at least $500 in damage and a hefty fine, etc...

The reason noone (mostly) on here wants to drift is BECAUSE MOST IMPORTS ON FARGOSTREET ARE FWD OR AWD. AWD is very hard to drift with and is hell on the car. FWD cannot be drifted properly. PERIOD. RWD w/ a good LSD is the only way to drift properly. So, unless we get Dave, Matt, Kevin, Dubbsy and the Mustang and Camaro guys, we won't have many fargostreet participants.

i think that would be a cool thing to do. if i could come up with i would definitaly try it out. that would be some pimp shit........and tag dose ok in the cavy

Llew Montgomery is well known in the drift community of Mpls/St Paul. I'm just saying that the majority of the people who currently are a part of fargostreet do not own RWD cars, so the likely hood of a seeing someone from this forum in a drift event is slim. I honestly hope to god this happens as drifting is very fun to watch when you have good drivers.

kswiss, shut up. you haven't said anything useful in any of your posts.
no one here knows how to drift the right way, and no one is going to learn fast enough to make a competition worthwhile. why would anyone drive all the way from minneapolis just to drive around a parking lot of cones when they have better places to drive that are closer? -

I think my car could do it, but its an automatic and I have no experience, if I could practice/learn somewhere legally I would be up for it!
-
i think it would be cook if the had a track with a layout like this one.

am i the only one that is capable of seeing that almost no one in this area has a mt rwd and the will to drift? without these people, any "drift competition" would be a waste that would result in the import scene getting an even worse stigma than it has now.
