makes me happy i wont be the only slow car there. im looking at a 16.5 and i'll be happy. Bone stock 95 Grand Am with an auto. i've got my launch down though and my reaction times should be great but the car not so much. but again i've never ran at the track so nerves might get the best of me.

I wouldnt even worry about it. Just go out there and have some fun.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall
Torque is how far you take the wall with you

let us know when your tranny goes after two passes down the track doing that. I really hope you aren't actually neutral bombing your tranny. stalls, look into it.

Yes it would. It's been done in many peoples' car many times.

What you think that 67 HP is gonna shatter your tranny?

Neutral dropping is good for one thing......breaking your transmission. Don't do it.

With your situation, you would want to try holding the brake to the floor, then, as quickly as you can, move your foot to the gas and put it to the floor. This will "flash" the stall converter and hopefully help your 60 foot time.

I don't know if your car has any type of hand controls on it for the gas or the brake. If it does, you could engage the brake, and at the same time, floor the gas. When the light goes green, let of the brake completely.

If they are available for your car, you can replace your stall converter with one that has a higher stall speed. It will allow you to rev your engine higher on the starting line when you are on the brakes at the same time.

I can kinda hold the brake and the gas at the same time, but it only revs up to 2300 rpms or so and squats down lol. so im guessing the point at which it stops raising my rpms is the stall point?
