sound like a sweet ride, f****** military computers won't let me view picks. But I agree with the group, 350's have soooo much avalable for way cheaper than anything you could swap in.....and a dislike button also.

But I agree with the group, 350's have soooo much avalable for way cheaper than anything you could swap in.Not a fan of the carb'd 350. It has 160,000 on it, heads flow like shit, it's stock besides HEI distributor which Overkill Customs in Hines helped me install today after massaging the firewall a bit to fit it, an edelbrock carb, and an edelbrock intake manifold. To get to the 350-400 whp hp naturally aspirated it will take a lot more for a 350, or I can get $1600 saved up, buy the $850 LQ4/4L80E combo with computer and harness up here, then spend the rest on parts to swap it in and make over 300whp and 300ft/lbs of torque bone stock. So add LS6 intake manifold, headers, and a tune from Andy at Dynotune USA and I'm sitting above 350 which is my goal, plus I'd get better gas mileage. I get 20 mpg with the 3.08 gears in my rear, bonestock_442 gets 20mpg while making 800whp and running 4.10 gears with his LQ4, point being I can get new gears to wake it up even more, while maintaining gas mileage.

good luck, I already did the 6.0/4l80 swap and I can tell you I wouldnt do it again, no way. L33 5.3 and a 4l60 in anything under 3000lbs is way betterCan you please explain? I am planning on doing a lq4/4l80 or glide setup

LQ4 is still lighter than a SBC by about 70 lbs, 4l80e is 40 lbs or so heavier than the 700r4 so I'd still come out lighter.
