Got a lot done on this car picked up a 4.8 for now going to use part's out it when i build the new motor, picked a th-400 for cheap and it work's. Bought an aje racing k-member, picked up a used umi th-400 trans crossmember that had to get modifed to fit the car.

Quick update got the powerglide built and ordered new intake and planning how to get a t-6 turbo under the hood

Well well well...I was bored on teh interweb and figured id let my fargo buddies know whats been up with the Z three one. Its currently on jackstands again haha, was running it with 10 pounds of boost on the auto trans, it finally gave. The transmission was slipping even before it was built up so im not suprised, I sent the trans off to New jersey to a place called "Level ten performance" They are going to build it up for me so I can put more power down, ive recently aquired a Holset HX35, 460cc injectors, soon going to be getting my NIStune. Just stock piling for my next go at it, im interested to see what im going to be able to do with it in the quarter mile once I get it down to branson in June. Im going to be back in fargo (I come back periodically for visits) in march 16th-25th...the trans will be back in and the car will be running around once more by then (by next week actually) so I may or may not drive the Z depending on weather and if I want to deal with riding in it for 9-10 hours. I have a TH350 and Ford 8.8 ready to go in, just don't want to mess with the fabrication aspect of it quite yet. Goals.... I don't know. Ideally I'd like to get close to 600 with this setup, but anything over 500 will make me happy I guess. Will be tuning for E98 (race tune) as well as E85 (Daily tune). Thought about doing a pump gas tune, but IDK if that is going to be necessary

Well I plan on using the GTE electronics from it for the 2j swap, and I have robbed a few parts from it for my car, so its not complete. The motor spun a bearing, there is rust growing all over, and I may use the r154 when I do the 2j swap...

After doing some more reading, I think you guys are probably right. I will order an aeromotive 340 with a boost-a-pump, which should be more than enough
