87 accord 5spd man

is an 87 accord with a small amout of rust on the rear wheel wells any good. it needs a new tranny but after all will be getting it for about 250 bucks. and what would a good swap be for it?

If it's carbed, you can swap in a weber carburetor for a few hundred bucks, makes a difference. These cars come standard with a vacuum hose nightmare under the hood. More information than you'll ever need is at www.3geez.com. The cars are near bulletproof when treated right, but if it needs a new tranny, chances are it hasn't been treated right. A few guys have done B-series swaps, if I remember right.
