Well I'm seeing about 72 mbit down right now. If kirk and tony would stop streaming gay porn it would probably go up.

Sad part is, Kirk is actually watching channel 539(The GayVN Awards) LOL.
I've gotten 31-32/5 so far...I think we only get 30 tho so I'm happy.
And Jim, we do have a 3.0 modem.

This was after Kirk and Tony stopped with the gay porn...

went to speedtest.midco.net and my results were:
Download Speed: 227293 kbps (28411.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 9395 kbps (1174.4 KB/sec transfer rate) -
Our modem cannot handle the 30/5 package supposedly so my tests yesterday were yielding ~ 22-27 down and 2 up still...My parents are actually thinking about switching back to cable one now because their Midco bill keeps going up each month it seems like, it's already $40 higher than it was 6 months ago and that is after they were done with that intro $100/month trio bundle pricing.

- If you are doing it over wireless, the G standard is generally considered to be maxed out around ~22mbps.
- Really? Tell them to quit ordering porn! Cableone is not going to be any cheaper...

If his modem is doing 27 down... theres not an issue of it doing 30mbps down. These variances could be due to line quality. Check your splitters, or login to the modem's admin panel and check the SNR. Especially when you start talking about 30+mbps of bandwidth throughput, you also need to start looking at Gigabit ethernet... 100base-t starts chocknig out not too far above 30mbps, especially with software controlled cheap NIC's. Oh the wonders of fast internet.

Just reset the router and plugged in hardwired and got 30/5 so all is well there now.
