Yeah man, you can get something far better for the same price or even cheaper. Check out peak boost or drag turbo kits. Are you on the d-series motor still???

Talk to Tufte. He's done his homework and will be ALOT cheaper than a Greddy kit.

I am still running the d-series. I can get the greddy kit for 1400. But i also thought of peicing together a kit for the same amount, maybe less. Here is the kit i was thinking of peicing together.

                Turbonetics T3 60 trim .48 A/R turbo
                Turbonetics 35mm Wastegate
                All the piping and clamps
                All the lines and fittings
                304 Stainless tubular header
                3" intake w/filter
                BOV
                Stainless Downpipe

the only thing i like about the greddy kit more is that it comes with fuel management

                      and injectors

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

i know i need injectors and fuel pump. I priced out a much better deal on a kit. $850 for the following. Everything is new in the box.

                        Stainless mani
                        t3/t4 t04e .50 .63 turbo
                        24"x12"x76mm FMIC
                        38mm Tial wastegate
                        3" down pipe
                        BOV
                        all flanges
                        all lines
                        all gaskets
                        all fittings

All i would need is IC piping, Intake Pipe, Fuel pump, Injectors, and some sort of fuel management.

Check H-T forced induction classifieds, you can find some pretty sweet deals on d-series stuff.

You need a IC and a BOV there as well. The Greddy kit does come w/ their oh so famous "blue box". It's a joke. If anything run a AFC and 450's.

By the time you get the Greddy kit and their FMIC you get well over $2000 into it, and it wont make any power anyways especially not w/ their "blue box". Most commonly on the stock boost Greddy kits bang out around 150whp

overall everyone is saying if you go with greddy...your gonna get raped....their cheapest fmic is like 700 bucks.

Its not necessarily raped. $2000-2500 is a pretty damn good deal for a complete turbo kit. $700 is a pretty good deal as well for a complete FMIC setup although once again the Greddy uses small and very long routed piping. But the point being is the Greddy kit is built very conservative to suite everybody. In which case its not gonna make big power, its not gonna give you good times @ the track, but it will make the car a lot more fun to drive. In most cases people are turboing the cars for the power. The Greddy kit just wont give you that w/o running a lot of boost.
