define real boost? 23 psi? 25 psi? 30 psi?

or do you mean large turbo, cuz in that case Jeremy with the white STi doesn't really qualify either, he ran 12.2 w/ a 20G....turbos that I keep hearing are small seem to be keeping up with bigger turbos....

Eh, 25 psi or so and up pretty much requires race gas...unless you like melted pistons. Turbo size is somewhat related, but not soo much. High boost on a little turbo will usually cause more detonation than a larger turbo. About your 2nd point, I assume you are referring to the big turbo being Jeremy (DSM), car is slower than before because he doesn't have everything else he needs to support the bigger turbo. That white STI was quick! I liked it:) Too bad you didn't get a clean pass Chuck, I think you would have ran pretty good.

The main point, race gas is awesome, but not if you don't need it. If you aren't using a setup that requires it (high boost, high timing, etc.) then don't use it. Ok, I am done now.

I was told he had a green which would be a 50 trim not a 20G.

I'm going off what Tintmasters told me for his turbo size, never bothered to check it out myself.

                    Either DSM's have went 10's on a 20G!

not sure how to interpret that last statement tufte....but I think you meant to say that that DSM's have gone 10's in a 20G, well if thats the case, then why all the fuss about 60 trim or larger?

I finally broke into the 12's. Not a bad 60ft either. I can't wait to see my trap speeds after I put in my new injectors/intake/software.

Too bad I sold my wheels last tuesday, I had to run on my studless winter tires. They hooked up surprisingly well, Quattro AWD is the shit.

I can't wait until we get a decent day out there. I'm starting to get sick of this 90+deg weather everytime I'm out at Sabin. Maybe I need to start hitting the strip in the fall/spring not the summer. I need to see what this thing can do on a decent day. My new goal is sub 12.2

We'll see what happens. My best trap of the day was 111.

Small Penis Syndrome = needs big turbo to compensate for...well...

acually, its just easier. spool up isnt a big deal when your on the track, and working a small turbo just creates alot of heat.

I should be getting my ET Streets tomorrow, nice to see the 60 ft's you were getting with them. MAybe you could pull off a 12 with the ET Streets and a better converter.

I'm getting the ET streets at cost otherwise I wouldn't be getting them.

I ran the usual 10.4's in the heat (no nitrous). I did manage a 1.49 60' on one pass, the rest were 1.51 or 1.52
