what section of the forum is it in?
Front page...also www.in-forum.com -
Nice coverage of Scott's car, lucky bastard. This should make old people more aware of our unruly behavior so they can keep an eye on us, like that lady in the van did. Best is a 14.36 on that gay game.

shows like monster garage? i've yet to see a person drive around a van that will hold a motor cycle, open the side door and unload the motorcycle while in motion, or a donut making cop car. that article is bs. btw which eclipses are they both talking about, the bomex one and?

well atleast todays didnt say anything TOO stupid.

The street is covered with ground hugging hondas, and cavaliers with glittering paint jobs, dazzling graphics and expressive exhausts...LMFAO

Ok, I think I'm going to write a letter to the editor...whoever wrote these articles (especially Sundays) should be shot. Hell, maybe I'll even go so far as to re-write the whole damn article for them. I mean it's good the scene is getting some press, but it would be nice if it were somewhat accurate information. They made it sound like the only way the imports are going fast is by using N2O and that we all have it on our cars. Didn't Dave run a 10.05 w/o spray a little while back? Anyways, don't be surprised if you see a letter from me in there somewhere.

don't forget about the "Me and my car" section on page A-7. Where it shows a shot of the owner and not the car...lol, terrible.

Yep...lets get a meet...take picture for the forum and have someone write a whole article..

Sounds like a good idea

I'd rather never have my car listed or mentioned in the paper, however both articles sucked, both articles were extremly biased and did not give a fair representation of the scene (lots of free advertising for tintmasters), and they only talked about the gay ricer shit.

yeah, that was my impression too. I think they could have covered the other 5 or 6 shops in town too, then I think they would have gotten a much better feel for what is being done to the vehicles and also maybe just a taste of what you can expect from each shop, what their specialties are and a little history on them.
For example:
Tintmasters: A little of everything, probably have one of the highest %'s of walk-in customers which tends to give them a bigger % of the ricer crowd. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Began their business in Grand Forks and expanded to Fargo in 2001.SLS: Definately the "race shop" in town, though they do know their way around the fancy electronics and fabrication as well.
Roadsounds: Primarily a stereo shop, but are more than capable of doing mechanical work as needed. Another two location shop as they originally started in Minot as a stereo shop but eventually moved to performance and tuning, expanded to Fargo in 2003 (or was it 2004...I forget)
Autowerx: Similar to Roadsounds but maybe leaning a bit more to the tuning side of things (just my observation, I could be wrong)
Team: Mostly an electronics shop, but also very knowledgable about performance aspects.
Type-R Motorsports: The first "official" shop in town, specializes in performance and mechanical aspects of the industry, very good fabricator (fiberglass, wood, metal, etc..) and very detail orientated, does not stock ANY parts, but can custom order as needed.
There. I think I already wrote a better article than the Forum.

I think you did to...Well Done!

Just wondering, cause NO OTHER SHOPS ARE SPENDING ANY MONEY TO BENEFIT THE RACERS AND CAR ENTHUSIASTS OF THE FARGO-MOORHEAD AREA.
Does tintmasters sell "ricer" stuff? Yep. It sells too. And everyone that participates in tintmasters' events reap the benefits.
Nick, get a clue, you and your tintmasters bashing are getting old. How come you're not promoting ELITE all the time. THEY built YOUR 11.4 second(once, let's see you do it again) car.
Maybe I'm biased because tintmasters sponsor my bike. However, I have no problem with Nick and Kevin @ SLS, and I have no problem with Brett, Jake, and Troy @ AA&E(Hell, I buy gas off of them). I may not promote them, but I sure as hell don't trash them at every opportunity. Grow up.
