I think it is the best thing that happened to the Vikes when Daunte got hurt. He wasn't playing well at all, and was brining the team down with him. Yeah, you can't blame everything on him, but I really think it helped bring up the team's moral to get someone else in there.

Great points. But I think too many people are jumping on Daunte as being the SOLE problem and jumping to call for his head. The line has been protecting Brad much better than Daunte. Daunte was sacked over 6 times a game, and hurried on almost every pass play. Brad has been sacked 3 times a game and has had time to read the field. We haven't seen Brad run for his life much, so IMO....
      Daunte > Brad
read the field? brads a 3 step qb and has been his full career. he's never been a 5 step drop, look down field and bomb it for 60 yards, hes the lil dinky 12 yard completions, an occasional 20 yarder, back to 12 then below 10 yards per pass.

Both games he's started he's avgd under 10 yards a completion, so it's not the line that's helping brad, it's his style of play. Personally i feel now that we're 9 games in, Daunte doesn't fit this system that our offensive coordinator/tice has installed. He doesnt look comfortable at all, and without a nice target out there to spot, he's been exposed that if you give him pressure, he'll choke the chicken.

Daunte was playing OK. He was still off, but I blame 90% of it on the shittiest O-line I've ever seen. Every play he was in, the pocket collapsed withing like 1 second.

exactly...its a blessing in disguish(well im not sure its disguished but a lot of fans think daunte is the only QB we'll ever need for the rest of future lol)

Daunte is a good quarterback, remember it is a TEAM game.......not just an individual.

yeah and when 1 individual isnt performing well the whole team suffers...(see daunte culpepper)...im not saying hes not a good QB but he doesnt fit well with us right now or hes having an off year

True, but the QB is the leader on the field. Without a QB you have no team.

Wrong. When you have no line, and your QB can't hang onto the ball to save his life, you have no QB.

.....and the defense has been great. You dont goto to the pro bowl if you suck. Many players have had off years and are still great players. Like I said it is a TEAM game, the NFL is full of parity.

this isn't dauntes type of system.

he's a great qb...just not steve loneys qb tho obviously. the new play calls us and him are used to don't fit his style of play.

Well, tonight is the night. Monday Night Football. Lambeau Field. Vikings vs. Packers. The last time I'll get to see the Vikings kick the shit out of Brett Favre 😄

Should be a great game! The last Vikes-Packers Monday night game was one to remember (even if it didn't go the way I would have liked to have seen it go). My prediction: Vikes-30, Pack-21

Hmm, I'll go on a limb here and say the game will be less than 6 points difference. Too bad we don't get to see Daunte get sacked a bunch of times again though. My prediction:

                                        GB 27
                                        MN 23

The most frustrating thing about GB this year is that they started 1-7 and actually outscored their opponents (cumulatively obviously), so obviously they aren't that bad on either side of the field and most of the games could have gone either way...at least 4 of them were by a TD or less. Not their year, I agree, but I'm still a fan and I'm not going to say "wait til next year" because there are too many variables. Again, predicting a close game w/ GB pulling off the win....on the final drive

lol. only reason why your any where near close of 50/50 point difference is cause you beat a pathetic saints team senseless by like 50 points, for of course, your 2nd win of the season thus far.

I wonder if Favre will throw another 5 pick game against the Vikes like last year.
