normally I would say go for the H/C setup because it'll be always available without refills etc but you already have your nitrous setup...I would just keep the nitrous setup and maybe build it from there eventually with a H/C setup AND nitrous when you get more money or somethin...and plus with nitrous you dont have all the power all the time on the street so it might be a little bit more streetable and since your buildng it for the track mostly nitrous is perfectly ok for the track cause its only when you decide to press the button. But what do I know I'm just an import driver 🙂

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Only problem with that is, if I run a H/C/Nitrous set up for a summer DD, I will be running the LT1 really close to it's breaking point, I would almost have to rebuild and forge it. Unless I got a small H/C set up at about 360 rwhp, and put a not as large nitrous shot on it, like 75-100 shot...but then, thats a good amount of money for only 60 more hp off the bottle, and roughly the same amount of hp I would have with a nitrous set up. It would also be more complicated, turning a H/C car with nitrous.

      I see your point though

With what it sounds like you want out of the car....somewhat streetable with prowess at the track...I would say keep the nitrous. If you can get more power out of the nitrous stick with that. The question I pose to you is: what is more important to you, going fast on the streets or at the track. That's what is seems to come down to.

PS- The fucks who say "Nitrous is cheating" are fucking idiots.

so this is for the driver? (the 94 you have now)

As much as I want to say H/C, I'd probalby stay with nitrous if it's staying as a driver...
Guess it depends.. Do you go stoplight jumpin with quite a few people? Running the car to it's limits quite often on the street... then if so, go H/C (if you're spraying that often, it's gotta get expensive)
If you're looking for a good solid car, possibly to take a few longer trips with, and then want to hit the track on the weekends... stay nitrous.

Guess basically I'll say it depends on how often you want the car's full potential.

i say stick with nitrous until you have enough money to build it and run both.. if thats an option in the future.

because boost for a V8 is usually really expensive and then hed be reaching the limits of his LT1 very easily and would require a build...he already stated that

Not to mention the engine, stock comes with 10.5:1 comp ratio AND lightweight internals built to spin fast, not hold boost.

Plus, the cheapest s/c set up imagineable would still be more expensive than a H/C set up.

Turbo set ups for LT1's are mostly custom (arm, leg, first born) and the kits out there are expensive as well because there are only one or two out there.

                        Oh yeah,

Personally, for daily driver use, I would keep the nitrous system, since most H/C setups producing the HP you would like are probably a bit more aggressive than I would like to drive around. If it were me, I would go with forged rods and pistons first. The decision really hinges on your definition of streetable. I have to say I kind of envy you LT1 guys with nitrous, since your intake manifolds allow large wet shots without catching on fire like the LSx series occasionally do.

                            bottles are for babies.

seriously though, I think its fun to sit in car that lopes back and forth at idle, sounds like it is going to fall apart just sitting there, and is so loud it feels like you have a sinus infection at wot.

                                        Oh yeah,

                                        Brian's a pussy.

haha, just go with some AFR 215's and a 242ish cam, with a 3600 fuddle stall. possibly some 3.73's.
either way ur gonna end up spending atleast 3 grand after parts and tuning just for H/C. spray 100 shot on top of it

Start pimpin' out every girl you know and buy an intercooled ATI procharger. If I had a V8, this I would have to have.

                                          http://procharger.com/gallery/showtemp.php?market=2&idx=1223

His power level isn't "amazing" but the car is hardley touched besides the charger. Sounds like from the gallery info that his tuning might not be optimal either.

                                          One time...
