      my car did it for awhile until i replace the catylatic convertor and flex tube. Now the mazda flows smooth. Check that too.

        Ok this probably seems really dumb but how do you know if the wires are bad or not?

          Disconnect each spark plug wire off and measure resistance between the 2 ends of the wire. Resistance should be less than 25000 ohms on each wire.

            Exactly what my car did. Rotor cap, take it off and take a look at it now before the problem becomes more serious.

              Even if the plugs have spark the won't always fire under load, so replace em if not any of the other problems.

                Ok..I just got the new plugs and wires on, took it for a spin and its still doing it. Anyone know what else it might be?

                Jake-did you have this same problem with it?

                  check your distributor cap and rotor, replace your fuel filter, check ALL of your engine grounds that's what i would start with..........................................or u can always bring it to tintmasters and i'll fix it

                      hey yea i had the same problem when i had the car, a buddy of mine said that he had the same problem too, he just said that there was oil in the distributer cap and all he did was clean it out and it worked just fine. i just never got aroumnd to doing that before i sold u the car.now my new car is stating to do it too so ill try it out and let u know.

                                Thanks, but I will just buy a brand new one. I would rather have new parts or aftermarket parts. And would that dizzy even work on my car considering its a 1.5 d15 NOT 1.6 d16

                                    All vtec dizzy's are the same. Check out distributorking, I believe he is a vendor on ebay. Great prices great products.

                                        Civic VX is Vtec, its that economy Vtec engine. Vtec e or something like that, but none the less...its Vtec.
