WTB: wire to relocate battery
-
yep any audio place will have 4 guage....thats all the bigger you need
-
why are you calling us captain obvious...when you are the one who asked the stupid question in the first place!!!!

you guys quasi answered his question on here. he stated that he did not want to pay shipping cost so he was wondering if anyone around here had a decent length of wire he could buy. when I first read the thread I assumed he was trying to not have to buy it at full retail price from a shop around here, since he was looking at it on ebay. just my observation though... I could be wrong and barry may have posted on here trying to find the most out over priced wire in town and hope someone would sell it to him for 5 times what they paid. alittle logic guys.

I'm hoping someone has some wire they want to get rid of, or to find out a good source to buy some from a local store.Every Local Audio Store has wire, just go in and ask how much they want per foot.
You could probably go to - Site on Sound, The Glass Garage, Paradise Audio, ect....

0/1 gauge is fucking enormous. Why you would run that back to the battery is beyond me.

I agree with Nick here. 2ga. maximum is all that's needed. Anything bigger is a waste of $$ if you ask me. Pin, 4ga is more than adequate for your needs. remember that your oe cable is the coarse strand stuff and thats no good for much more than 5ft on most situations but the finer strand stuff is far superior at carrying current and holding up with the draw hence thats why 4ga has just become the norm for the average battery relocation. And it's hella cheap to get locally. Just an opinion/advice.

i got some 0 gauge from the interstate batteries warehouse a few years ago when i used to compete db drag. at least i think it was interstate. it was cheap and they had spools of it so im betting you could get a smaller gauge. i remember finding the place was a bit of a trick tho. good luck.
