speedometer off...

yup just learn to live with it, otherwise it's a waste of money for a non-problem

The oem tire size is P205/50r16. That's not too common of a size so the size on there may be different than that because the price might have dictated a cheaper size that was CLOSE to what was on there. But if it is a different size, the speedo will be off.

eh I don't need new tires cuz the ones I have are still fairly new. I've learned to deal with it, just wanted to see if there was an easy way to fix it, but oh well. Worth a shot I guess!

Worth a shot I guess!Well, do you have the right size on there or what? You don't have to change them but you should be aware of what you have on there. But if the size is different than whats suppose to be on there, the amount of speed you speedo is off will vary as well (depending on speed). It may be off by 5mph at 60 like you stated. But, that will increase the faster you go and decrease the slower you go. So at 70 you may actually be going 78mph and so on. Not to mention that your odometer will not register the correct amount of miles as a result. Which in the short term may not be very much. but in the long haul, it will add up.

I know on the old mechanical speedos you get a larger or smaller gear to adjust for tire size, say if you wanted to put 38" swampers on your 4x4. But with the prelude being electronic and all I think the only way is to deal with it, I know Mine is a little off also but I really don'y pay any attenton to it. Right from the factory they can be roughly 1-5mph off so it's not too big a deal.
