I've found plenty of f23 manual trannies with around 50k for $350 while the remanufactured autos run about $1100 from what I've seen.

$100, but I don't think it's necessary for this swap.

What do a decent clutch and flywheel go for? Under $500?

Geez... there sure is some drama in this thread. I say if you have the time and a place, try to do it yourself. I have done plenty of auto to manual swaps and manual to auto swaps over the years. If you can find all the parts its fairly easy depending on the car. I am not fimiliar with your car really, but doing the swap should be just all mechanical parts, I don't think the wiring will matter, but I have run into cars that have to use a wiring harness for a manual car. Either way if you figure out what your doing, and need help or someone to do it for you, I am always up for a challenge. If you go with a new automatic, I could probally throw it in fairly reasonable too.

Where is a decent place to look at and price used trannies? I've looking at car-part.com.

Is the Exedy stage 1 organic clutch decent? Will it hold up spraying a 55-65 shot?
How about an 8lb Fidanza flywheel?

Any other suggestions for a clutch and flywheel in similar price ranges?

car-part is probably the most consistantly inexpensive place to find parts

Ya, for used O.E.M. parts not aftermarket or performance parts.

Thanks to Nick and Tony at SLS for putting up with my constant phone calls about this shit over the last few weeks.

Last but not least, BIG thanks to Frank at SLS. Frank really knows his shit and really bent over backwards to get this done for me. I can't thank him enough for finishing my car under the circumstances.

It certaintly was a long and tideous process to track down all those odd and end parts(and sometimes irritating trying to get the right parts coming), but it seemed to come together nicely right at the last!

You helped us out a lot by having your homework done on this and sourcing a lot of the parts. Thanks again Jason.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!
