Coolant Leak
-
could be possible but if theres coolant in your oil then your head gasket is bad too
-
oh okay, you made it sound like there was coolant IN the oil, so no its not the headgasket.
-
just start the car and check all the hoses, one of your hoses probably cracked,

if you havn't done a honda timing belt/water pump before, figure a good half days work if you have all the tools, more if not and have little experience doing any major repairs like this. for an expert, these are cake to do. I remember my first one I did on my 94 civic years ago, thought id never get it done, but i finished it in 8 hours (had class and lunch break in between at the tech) and never had a problem with it while I owned it. They are usually a pain the first hour or so because of all the belts you need to remove, once they are out of the way, along with the motor mount (support the engine with a jack) you should have a lot of room to get in their to do the belt and water pump. For ease of installation, make sure to paint your timing marks on your crank and cam pulleys and rotate them crank counter clockwise (im 98% sure that is the right way on that engine) till they all line up with their marks. Then tear into her!

watch out for those pesky crank/balancer bolts!Air Impacts are great for removing the honda crank pulley bolts.....and technically, they are not balancers fyi.

I'd recommend a Chilton or something better, we sell Haynes at work and in my opinion they suck...OEM Honda Service manuals are made by Helms in which my opinion are the best for what I have found. Haynes and Chilton are the same in my opinion and expierience.
