To you slick experts. I plan on putting these on a 15x8 weld draglite. Do I need tubes for these. I purchased these from a guy down in the cities and he said you really dont need them, but the jegs catalog says you should have them. He seems to know what he was doing when there was 1 500whp civic and full drag(no motor yet) civic that was just nuts right next to it.

ya itll be painted and on next weekend. I can not afford, Drag lites, a custom drive shaft and drive shaft loop at the moment. Over the winter I should aquire all this. If someone want to sponser me:icon_thumright: then It can be arranged for the last street legal day.

I also am going to try and swap to a stand-a-lone or something better then my current tuning setup. I am thinking its going to be like a chipped ecu, but live edit and i can adjust it with my laptop when I want.

you would need tubes in those for sure. some people dont run them, but the general consensus is that its a good idea.

You don't need tubes in your slicks. You will just have to air them up before you go to the track every time.

Drive shaft loops are pretty cheap too and you can probably avoid having one for the last street legal day if you show up with street tires first. 😉

On that site they talk about calumsult. That is what I am getting. They are both about the same thing, but that calum is US, and would be cheaper. I can send him my chips out of my ecu now and hell upload them as a base map for no charge. Its like right around the $300 range, and I can sell my 2 enthalpy ecu's and afc neo for way more then that.

The main reason I want the calum is becuase i have a sohc to dohc swap in my car which makes it so you cant use the consultport anymore, he has it available via the ecu:icon_albino:

Ya, I dont think ill put tubes in, unless i start having some major issues. Putting air in them is easy. 8-10psi is around what I was thinking for tire pressure, not sure.

anyone know where to find some cheap weld draglites?

Cheap and weld wheels dont usually go together. If you wanted something quick and cheap so you could at least race this year:

lol. ok cheap drag rims. or the cheapest place to buy welds? dirt track rims are heavy as hell. I want to spend my $$$ once and do it right the first time.

It's a $120 purchase. Consider it a disposable expense for the end of the year.

What are you looking for sizes?

Check tcstangs or corral.net. TCS might have something local, and corral has a lot of stuff

15x8 5.5 inch backspacing bolt pattern is 4x114.3(aka 4x4.5). in weld draglites or something similar.

                                are fox body mustangs 4x4.5?
