I have to laugh sometimes when seeing a great big pickup (F350 for example) that's tearing through the snow and acting fearless, cutting me and everyone else driving sensibly off. When I hypotheticallyl follow him to Kmart, expecting to see a 6'4" 260 lb hick get out but instead see the world's tallest midget exit.....I have to laugh. Things aren't always as I expect them to be.

I have to agree with this one. My younger brother has a lifted truck with loud exhaust, and CB whips on his truck. When i see a truck like that i think to myself "HICK" but in all reality my brother is a hick. A southern accent, tobacco chewing, larry the cable guy wanna be hick. It drives me nuts. See, I think the opposite. I grew up on a farm calling them pickups, but EVERYONE I knew from a town larger than ~5000 people called them trucks.

My theory was that "City Slickers" called them trucks, and us dumb hicks called them pickups.
