I'm aware of a 'couple' rims that are anodized. What would be the possibility of doing this as opposed to powdercoating nick?

Size capabilities just depends on how large of containers we decide to use. If anything i can buld my own containers to do larger items but it's just gonna take that much more dye to do so if its an odd ball color price will have to be inflated to compensate. Most stocked color will be black as i do all of our gauge bezels in black. Like i said after we get everything setup and get everything rolling i'll be more apt to give quotes but i dont wanna jump in head first and underquote on something thats gonna take twice as lon as anticipated. Also as far as i know we will be the only place in town w/ capabilities of anodizing :-).

        From the other post-

Maybe I was misinformed but I was under the assumption that anodizing was more durable than powdercoating...?

the process of anodizing hardens the outer layer of the aluminum makeing it harder to scratch but at .001 thick it is still easy to scratch but will not chip or peel like other coatings, anodizing isnt the process of coloring aluminum, its the process of opening the pores of aluminum to accept color, after color has taken then there is another process of sealing it in

You can powdercoat the compressor housing, not the exhaust side

could you do valve covers or do those have to be powder coated?

Would it be ok to anodize wheels or not? I would just be worried about getting the tires mounted on them and the lug nuts messing up the coating. How durable is it compared to powdercoating?

you can anodize steel and aluminum so you can do just about any valve cover out there.

Steel cant be done. Most all import vehicles have aluminum valve covers, so most all sahould be able to be done.

Yeah you can anodize wheels no problem. Shouldn't have any problems mounting tires unless you got some retard doing them which in that cause it doesn't matter whats on them their gonna mess it up.

Only kicker on doing wheels is if you want them to look completly perfect w/ no grain of the alum behind them is they basically need to be polished before hand because anyt defect will show. But if you dont mind the grain of the aluminum then leave them as is.
