Sounds like a very good product Jason. I don't think its a secret where my loyalties in oil lie, but I do believe this is a quality product. Have there been any independent studies done to see how well this compares to others such as Royal Purple, Amsoil, Mobile One, etc? I ask because these are essentially the same claims that everyone in the industry makes, and while I don't doubt that this is a fine oil, I just like a bit more than the bullet points off the sell sheet.

Having said that, I will probably giving it a try this spring in my suby.

All of this "seriousness" from the guy that just typed "Mobile One". j/k 🙂

There is much to be discussed on this oil, and I would love to talk more indepth about it in person. It doesn't compare to any other oil, because it isn't built the same as the others. It is the only FULLY/TRULY/NOT KINDA/NOT SORTA synthetic oil on the market. When you buy any brand new car from Toyota for example, it comes with Toyota's Fully Synthetic oil (read the fine print on the label and it reads ENEOS) This is the stuff that is put in cars at the manufacturing plant to break in motors (in many cases, not all company's choose to use fully synthetic).

Stop into the shop and smell it, rub it, and look at it's viscosity. You will agree there are 'synthetic' oils (all look, smell, flow nearly the same) and there is ENEOS.

And although I see your standpoint, please show me where any other oil claims to be "Fully Synthetic" on the face of the label in bold lettering. Here's ENEOS's http://www.eneos.us/images/SAE-0W-50-1small.jpg

I've seen this stuff advertised in car magazines for probably the last year and heard great things about it. I was wondering when we'd finally see it here in the states. I'll defineatly have to give it a try, anything to keep the old honda running smoothly past 200k. 😄

                    http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/sso.aspx states 100% synthetic oil.

Again, I'm not trying to argue, I'd love to see this stuff and try it. Would you mind if I brought some 0w50 Amsoil in so we can look at them side by side? I think it would be cool to see them next to each other and compare (using the ol' calibrated finger) lubricity, etc..

I would love for you to bring some Amsoil 0w-50, only problem is, Amsoil along with everyone else doesn't have the technology to produce a Fully Synthetic 0w-50. You could bring in a 0w-30 and compare with ENEOS's 0w-20. Of course I work for a business, and am trying to sell something, which will put everyone on their heals when I preach about it. I don't know every specific about the oil, however I can obtain particular information for WHY ENEOS is better than any other oil on the market. Amsoil add's Zinc's and other unnecessary additives that cause it to loose it's lubrication. One major point I can add, is that in any oil test you will never see ENEOS's name, as it outperforms each and every one. ENEOS has been in the U.S. and A. for a long time, just not marketed through shops. It was marketed through dealerships as private Toyota/Mitsubishi/etc.. labels. Remember, the oil that many Japanese companies trust as their 'break in' oil for the production plant, is ENEOS.

Bring a quart by Chuck...I think you might just have found a new oil 🙂

Chuck was just here, and he tasted it as well...and continued to lick his chops for a few minutes after! I guess we know it lubricates the tongue well!

I will be the first to admit that I am far from an oil expert. I spent about an hour at SEMA learning about it, and after being educated on what all the weights really mean and how ENEOS is created, I was very excited to offer it to my customers. I have put in an email to the head of ENEOS's US market, asking for specifics regarding ENEOS vs. Amsoil and Mobil 1 to be exact. I will post the results when I get them.

Jason is right...no 0W-50 from Amsoil (would have sworn they had one back in the day....could be wrong). At any rate 0W-20 is a product we can compare apples/apples with.... maybe even do some makeshift tests. I'll try and stop by on Friday w/ some 0W-20 (if I can find any...I use 0W-30 regularly), I will give my honest opinions as I'm sure Jason will as well....who knows, I may have found a new oil.
