i have that same problem too. if you can get it so its at least a little bit in.. then hold it and try to back up.. it should pop right in as soon as you start to move.

I think I am going to try some Pennzoil Syncromesh. I have read on dsmtuners that it works well and is about $5 cheaper per bottle than the GM stuff even though it is the same stuff.

can you get it in reverse when the car is off?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

I just tried and reverse is a little reluctant to go in but it does when it is off.

I guess it has the same part # as the GM stuff but is under a different name. I did look into on Dsmtuners.

I Know how that is , R is hard to get in to when its cold out. You have a Jdm Tranny so you may want to look at your linkages and adjust them properly.. Also a good Idea to switch over to some othr fluids..

my dsm has kinda been having the same going into (R) problem every now and then...and when it is a problem just keep on semi-forcing it in (dont grind it) and slightly let off the clutch a little bit until it pops into gear...thats what i do anyway and it works for me...then again, i got a new gvr4 😄 .....but its worth a shot

yeah the cold is tuff for reverse sometimes but i have had the problem without the extreme cold, just put it in fourth and let off the clutch just a very little bit, and then put it in reverse quick, works everytime man

as far as the syncromesh, i wouldnt go with penzoil, i dont know if the put perafin in there like they do with there oil, but if they do it is no good, it is like a wax that will coat the gears, and builds up. i have seen some bad stuff happen to motors with penzoil!

                                          NO PENZOIL! haha
