I can see why you would want to, I guess I'm just not a fan. Brings me back to highschool when all the shopfags would talk about how they were 'gonna throw a threefiddy' in just about anything with wheels and it would 'be fast as shit' because 'threefiddy got balls!!!' after that they would all hyuck it up for a couple of minutes until one of them started telling the rest how he put a butterball turkey into his snowmobile, poured root beer on it and went 120mph right through a snowbank, or something retarded like that. I guess I really can't think of anything that I would put an LS1 into instead of the original motor, except for maybe one of those tiny saturns, that would be pretty cool, or maybe a really old celica or datsun 210 or something.

That R34 in Australia with the turbo LS7 is a monster and doesnt have the oiling problems that it did with the I6. There is something to be said about the symmetry of a V8 versus a Inline motor its a very pleasing asthetic. V8 FTW as always.

What about a R34??? You mean that R33

There should be no oiling problems with the RB motors, unless it was not put together right. The RB26 stock bottom end has been proven to make 600whp+

It really isn't dreaming big, the motors aren't that expensive. Also, a lot easier swap then a lambo motor, not to mention motor, tranny, and parts availability.

Under high G's the stock motor's sump can go dry, from what I have read. I don't have one in the garage to back that up but I have read it in a few places.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldnt that happen with most any cars...I think that's why some of the racecars use a dry sump system...

Certainly but most "stock" cars cant pull the g's that an R34 can. The ones that can are all built for it, ie Porsche, Lotus, Ferrari, Corvette, etc. etc.

I would love to have a G-body LS1. Have any of you guys seen the video of Dave's SS Camaro in Sioux Falls when it did the wheel stand on a 200 shot and smashed the block?
