Slow but slow > fast right. I have a built tranny on the line and we shall see if I can find an 8.8 for the right price the one I was looking at got sold. If I get everything working correctly mid to low 15's with my big ass driving.

i'm thinking somewhere in the 12's with the s2000 as long as the rear diff hold.....

and the wagon should be solid 14's

if i still have the MR2, low 14's high 13 on street tires...need bout 500 bux in mods (sc14 s/c, 180mm pulley kit, and gruntbox) and cross my fingers the stock clutch holds up...I think it will but you never know...the thing does have 183k miles on it lol. And if time and/or money permits another $400-500 in spending then i may get a JDM LSD trans too...but knowing me idk if i'll still have it this summer lol.

Thats an excellent idea, your car will fly with a well set up auto trans. 🙂 Just don't hit it with a transbrake and the rear end should hold up.

My car... well it's going to go really stinking fast this year. Faster than Faul anyway.

It's not a car, but, with proper gearing I'd assume the 1000 would be in the mid 190s. Faster than Dave anyway. 🙂

                            Mid 190's?

First- you'd have to find someone else to ride it because I know you are too skeerd to go that fast. 🙂

Second - you'll need to be going downhill with a 30 mph tailwind with the HP your bike makes.

Third - "with proper gearing" in my car you'd be a speck in my rearview mirror.

So the question is.....will you put $$$ down that I can't make a GPS run in the 190s?

How long does it take you to install "proper gearing"? I'll need about 20 minutes from the time I'm back in the pits after a 1/4 mile run and I'll be ready.

                                  1. Put the bike on a rear stand.
                                  2. Loosen chain.
                                  3. Pull rear axle.
                                  4. Remove/replace 5 nuts and your rear sprocket is changed. Its quicker if you have a spare sprocket carrier with the new sprocket mounted, then you just swap carriers.
                                  5. Loosen left fairing.
                                  6. Pull counter sprocket cover off.
                                  7. Put bike in gear.
                                  8. Remove replace counter sprocket nut and front sprocket is changed.
                                  9. Replace rear wheel/chain/counter sprocket cover.
                                  10. Tighten chain.
                                  11. Tighten axle nut.

If you have all the tools in front of you and are really trying to move quickly....takes bout 20 minutes.

So the question is.....will you put $$$ down that I can't make a GPS run in the 190s?

The quote was mid-190's so lets just round it off to an even 195mph on the GPS. I'll def put the $$ down... I just hope we can capture the event on video so we can see the urine running out of the pant leg of your leathers as you get anywhere near 180, much less 195. :icon_cheers:

How long does it take you to install "proper gearing"? I'll need about 20 minutes from the time I'm back in the pits after a 1/4 mile run and I'll be ready. :stirpot:

I'm not really sure that it matters how long it would take me to change gearing. I can run top speed gearing at the drag strip and still run quicker than your bike when it has 1/4 mile gearing in it.:stirpot::stirpot::stirpot:

Yes, bikes are a brick in the wind. lol Thats why they are all electronically limited to 184 MPH. Thats why the '99-00 Busa can pull 196MPH out of the box due to no speed limiter.

How fast to average cars go out of the box? (No BS $250,000 cars now.)

                                        lol...."the math"....lol

What do you own that can do 205?(I'm assuming you're talking about your 7?)

What is a "full 5th pull"? Are you talking about on a dyno?

                                          1. Put the bike on a rear stand.
                                          2. Loosen chain.
                                          3. Pull rear axle.
                                          4. Remove/replace 5 nuts and your rear sprocket is changed. Its quicker if you have a spare sprocket carrier with the new sprocket mounted, then you just swap carriers.
                                          5. Loosen left fairing.
                                          6. Pull counter sprocket cover off.
                                          7. Put bike in gear.
                                          8. Remove replace counter sprocket nut and front sprocket is changed.
                                          9. Replace rear wheel/chain/counter sprocket cover.
                                          10. Tighten chain.
                                          11. Tighten axle nut.

If you have all the tools in front of you and are really trying to move quickly....takes bout 20 minutes.

lol i thought you were talking about redoing the whole tranny gearing, didn't even think of that.
