The one is waiting on the tranny to come back then install it with new clutch/flywheel/driveshaft, hood/hood pins, then for some Weld draglites, and then new tuning stuff. There are others...

Other waiting on flywheel to get done at machine shop so I can put tranny on and drop in motor. Then We can attack the HUGE wiring mess from a shitty alarm(can't even turn the key on with the alarm in the car, it just goes off) and stereo install. Then fix what ever other problems we find, PDR, and then getting it cleaned.

          PM me for:
          Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
          Diesel repairs or performance products.

Mine was running, then blew the HG. It blew off a coolant hose, turns out the fitting was rusted and had no bead roll WHATSOEVER. Dumped all coolant, and you can guess the rest. Stout motor though, I won't go into details on how far she drove because it proves that I mis-read what had happened.

Now it's 100% torn down, main/rod bearings/rings/gaskets/seals ALL arrive tomorrow, rotating assembly gets put back together tomorrow, gasket/seal on Thursday along with head and manifolds.

Should be running Thursday night, break it in, clutch is broken in, so that's good to go; leak check.

Friday, drive to work, take on interstate; leak check.

Saturday, 2 hr drive to Atlanta for NHRA Sport Compact weekend.

That being said, I don't see an option that suits me...make a 'Was done, blew it up already, almost ready again' and I'll vote...

                      Fuuuuck the KA.

Worthless ass motor. The ONLY reason the CA is in this car is because the KA crapped out on me. And I am pretty happy with how the CA handled the overheating by only nuking the head gasket. Only blew out one chunk by a water port in between the #3 and 4 cylinders. It was a factory gasket, too.

Hell, compression numbers for all 4 cylinders was still within specs, aside from the +/- 15 difference between #1 and 2.

Numbers were 160, 145, 142, 142. Minimum is 140, so I said 'fuck it, do it now, save another headache later.

Block was hot tanked, honed, decked; head was resurfaced, and got a mild port and polish.

But now...Cometic 2mm + ARP studs, ARP flywheel bolts, deleted butterfly valves, ACL race bearings (main and rod), OEM piston rings, all new seals, gaskets, hoses, O2 sensor, thermostat, etc.

I'm not cutting corners this time. Lesson learned, haha.

Depending on which stage of my project you are talking about I'm either almost done or barely started. Basically, I need a new BOV and a good tune on the dyno and I'm set w/ the current motor setup. My 2nd motor is nearly complete, just awaiting cams and a good P&P on the heads....but I really don't want to install that until I get to the next phase involves a different transmission as well as a new rear end and drive shaft...and I've barely started even thinking about that yet.

mines on going. i cant do anything that will have her down for more than a day or two so im stuck that way. system and alarm going in this week, valve train getting adjusted and gone over more than likely this week as well. plans for this spring/summer include suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, prolly just a cam instead of the mini-me for now.

still waiting on my fuckin steering that i ordered in january. Other than that, need to order the 9" and install, possible shorten driveshaft, some wiring for the fuel pump and sub. In front, finish assembling the engine/trans and set it in, weld the wastegate on and make a downpipe. Not much, hopefully it will be done by may.

I was hoping to have my fiero done by the topper car show, but no such luck. I need about another grand in parts and with the wife not working paychecks do not go far. So I took up doing automotive work in my spare time, and advertised on craigslist. Now I am 3 weeks behind on automotive work. Everyone hit me at once with major work so now I am working a extra 30+ hours a week at my home shop fixing cars. And with the extra money now I am buying more shop equipment instead of parts for my projects.

Plus I have bought a couple more projects here and there like a bandit trans am.
