I ordered my jumper harness through Tintmasters... its obd0-obd1 vtec, has all the extra wires, and ran me $90 or so, which was a pretty good deal.

Also by wideband 02, arent u meaning 4 wire o2... dont need a wideband unless ur boosting it or something

OBD-1 D16Y8s are really rare. You need a Y8 housing with Z6 internals im guessing. If you find a Z6 dizzy, i could probly trade you housings cuz i have a y8 but i need the internals( you would have the internals you need with y8 housing). I also have probably most wiring that you need.

no, i mean a wideband. im going to be running a p28 w/ ostrich, and chrome pro. to start, im just going to use a p30 rom with the p28 basemap (p30 has datalogging enabled), but with the little bit higher compression, and the fact that I don't know how much this a6/y8 combo is going to mess with ignition timing, i'd rather know whats up with my a/f ratio. i can tune using knock counts like on the dsm however i have no knock sensor and im not sure if the p28 can be made to read a knock sensor or not.

As for the dizzy, I guess any sohc dizzy will work except the z6 (different bolt pattern), it's just a matter of the wiring. wiring I can do 🙂

Don't forget John, you need OBD1 injectors as well (i believe?)
            Also, you'll want a Y8 timing belt.

which aslo brings up a question from me. im running a y7 block with a z6 head and as far as i know i use the timing belt that corresponds with the head correct? it just seems like my z6 belt has alot of slack in it

yup, belt goes with the cam gear (I had a Z6 cam on a Y8 head with a Y8 cam gear and used a Y8 belt)...your belt OEM brandon? I'm guessing so but idk.
