Dang, that sucks.
By parking at the very outside of the parking lot and spending a minute or two walking to a store, saves the headache.
It only took one time getting my first 240 scratched up, and now I NEVER park near the door. I always make sure I got 6 or 8 open spaces around me.

all the stops on my route are grocery stores and i always grab the stray carts and bring them into the store because i know the lazy fucks only go out to get the carts every couple hours.

damn Shandon that sucks man, did you get an estimate? or was that your guesstimate??? Just curious. If not go to quality auto body or northwest auto body. I heard their the most expensive for estimates along with progressive right there on 32nd ave behind jiffy lube. Good luck with everything

Oh, I'm sorry. Someone fucks up her car. You insult her intelligence by inserting your sarcasm toward her "estimate" of the damage. I tell you to shut your fucking mouth.Once again, eat a fucking dick.
Whats the matter? Can't handle someone else's opinion? How did I insult her intelligence by questioning what a cop put down as an estimate of the damage?
BTW, "Once again" would imply that you have already said something.

I actually thought you came off more dick-headish than normal Chris. I wouldn't be surprised if it is really close to the price they estimated....if not higher.

Add that to the minimum $500 in labor to prep and paint and BOOM! You're already at $1000.Paint + Labor to paint my hood was only $375...Black might be easier to do than that blue though I guess, although it sure sucks to blend faded black to fresh black.

might as well replace it. You have the right to have your car repaired anywhere you choose and to be repaired to new standards. I'd suggest just getting a carbon fiber hood as a replacement, I'm fairly sure they make them for the Mazda 6...actually I know they do. Found some for around $500+ Shipping

I HIGHLY doubt most would fork over the extra cash to replace it with a carbon fiber hood. Alls they have to do is give you the money required to replace it to a certain industry standard, which are pretty lax as far as gaps, color matching, etc. Anything beyond that and you get to pay the difference.

when i got rearended my insurance company definatly took care of me. i could see this being $1000 in damage easily.
to replace my bumper cover and have it painted was 900 dollars. and it went right to 1400 when they had to replace to bumper sub frame thing. im pretty sure a hood for a newer mazda is more expensive than my civic bumper cover.
