It does not fail by any means. For some people half the reason they build a motor is so they can have that sweet lope at idle, and with injection it is so easy to make it run at low rpm. Seems to me people have been doing it successfully since the flathead V8, but what would i know

BTW you do realize you have over 200 posts in 7 days? That is so pathetic its unreal, maybe get a job or something?

it uses the small cam so it can actually MAKE power down low and then switches to the high cam because the small cam isnt efficeint at higher rpms.

          Gary you forgot something.....

those motors need the extra 10hp/10lb-ft on the bottom half of the rev range to even get a 2,000lb car up to normal speed...............

i am probably stretching it with the 10 lb-ft figure..... as that would be near 10% of the engines peak TO..............:icon_puke_r:

something worth a shit can suffice what gains are to be had with such a complex/uneeded system such as VTeck YO....

........as something worth a shit is not taxed to make enough TO to make a car pleasant/easy to drive on the street

HA, of course i know what vtec does, and i would even say that i know a whole shitload more about what it does, how it works and its effects on engine dynamics than you do. So dont question me on valvetrain theory, ive studied it for a years. I am also willing to bet that your definition of what vtec does is exactly 180* off of what mine is, like a half full/half empty type of thing. The fact is it takes a nice big fat cam and says "nope, im gonna be a faggoty ass little cam for 75% of the time" hence de-tuning the car for all intents and purposes. Maybe you should go find something to do instead of sitting on FS whoring threads all day, id swear you were bubba.

And i was referring to the power aspect, no fucking shit s2000 is RWD, its one of only 2 cars honda ever got right
