ok so hers the deal it will idle fine but if u just tap the gas little as posible it will idle at 2 to 2500. Idk if it is a sticky throttle body or what??? any ideas :icon_scratch:

No often the TPS sensor and the sensor thats like in the middle of the manifold get gunked up with shit, use carb cleaner or such.

I think he meant the idle air control valve. Take that off and spray it with carb cleaner.

yea it will go down slowly after a while but if i just tap the gas it will go down most of the time.

i was told you needed a throttle cable/adjustment so try that first

Do those cars have a thremowax for cold starts or does it use the IACV to bump idle when cold?

idle air could be dirty and stuck but idk why it would high idle just after you tap it then go down. i would try cleaning the TB before throwing parts at it. clean it damn good and make sure it doesnt stick anywhere
