i was told you needed a throttle cable/adjustment so try that first

Do those cars have a thremowax for cold starts or does it use the IACV to bump idle when cold?

idle air could be dirty and stuck but idk why it would high idle just after you tap it then go down. i would try cleaning the TB before throwing parts at it. clean it damn good and make sure it doesnt stick anywhere

you dont know where the throttle body is? where the intake connects to the thrott- eh intake manifold

just clean all of the intake sensors / throttle body. adjust your throttle cable if needed. check for vacuum leaks if that doesn't solve it
