I am in the beginning process of figuring out how to build my fish house. I currently have nothing, and have done a bit of research on frames/drop axles/crank down frame, and honestly I am looking for the cheapest vs. most reliable option. Anybody have a friend/father/neighbor that is selling either a REALLY cheap fish house (that I would tear down and pretty much use the frame for), or have a frame that could be used for a fish house?

    Thanks!

    Jason

2 of my friends are building at the moment. One started with an ice castle with no interior and the other started with a pop up trailer frame.

This sucks, I ended up throwing away my Dad's portable last year after I couldn't find anyone that wanted it.

          😞

You cannot help, you require too many dorito's :icon_rendeer:

I will hit you up once I get the frame figured out. I want crank up/down wheels, but judging from the frame cost from those, I will have to stick with something A LOT less expensive... Travis (gsrEK) has a fish house sitting in a field that I am gonna check out strictly for a frame. (hurry up on the pictures kind sir)

I would like to make it something pretty nice inside, and my sisters fiancee is great with a hammer...

I also would like to get ahold of a wood burning stove (very small) that I can use as a heat source.

my old man just built one out of a pop up camper frame. it's pretty much done and pretty much going to be bad ass! Also he has ALOT less into his (with powdercoating frame) than an ice castle would run. very inexpensive way to go and you can basically do anything you want. I would for sure go with a pop up camper if you can find one cheap. We had one so that was a plus. good luck.

Propane heat is a better way to go the wood stove will roast you out in no time flat. My brother built one using some waste sheets of some material that was like two sheets of aluminum sandwiching some heavy foam insulation. Works great.
