this kid needs to be a classifieds mod so he can clarify every mod that increases performance, and each that doesn't. Maybe even start a thread about every mod.I wouldn't let him be the mod of the introductions, he'd fuck that up too.

no you said "upgrade" actually which bring us back on topic.i didnt ask you for your opinion in the first place, call it what you may, now drop it. it is an upgrade over stock stupid!

Here Faghat, lets clarify,
header, (not a cheap shit one). venom suprchip, msd ignition, 3" adjustables, carbon fiber hood, nrg grounding system, short ram air intake, 2 1/4 exhaust from cat to muffler, which is fairly new apexi, strut braces front and rear(neuspeed). have drilled and slotted rotors(just havent installed them yet).cat is there (no guts),>>>>> some are upgrades, some are mods<<<<<<, drycell, 17" racing hart cr's. i went through the interior(seats out and everything) this summer with a commercial steam cleaner, very clean interior, stock for the most part. -

he listed it as an upgrade and i pointed out to him its not an upgradeSome would argue it is at least a visual upgrade. And if someone was going to build the car for 500+hp, it would be an upgrade already done. So should someone with a 200 hp dsm not tell a potential buyer that it has 650s in it, even though they aren't needed at the time?
I'm sure he is very sorry that he listed it as an upgrade instead of a modification, I'm glad you were able to start a thread so this could all be settled. Now stfu noob

inspector01;251927 wrote:
it very clearly is a modification to the car since it is not stock. It is not necessary and doesn't do anything useful, but it is still a mod. This thread is retarded.
+10
inspector01;251940 wrote:
you are an idiot. Mod is short for modification, which means to change from original. It doesn't mean, to change to give better performance. So is a custom paint job not a mod?So yes, a metro engine in a Honda would be a mod.
+100!
Bp-08;251945 wrote:
if you were selling your geo metro swapped honda would you want to list that it was modified to geo metro standards.Wow i love who this is coming from...........
so you swap one escort engine to another and it is now modified to ford escort standards........... fucking badass man
I have seen money spent on a hell of a lot of worse things than an ignition........
an ignition actually makes sense............ a homebrew nigger rigged turbo setup doesn't

Bp, I dont know you, and we would probably get along fine in person, but this thread is kinda dumb. My opinion. And this isnt any personal shot and im not gonna say that you are a moron/idiot/whateverelse.
The whole comparison of his msd box to a turbo with no internal changes was a complete grasp at straws. Same with the idea of saying he shouldnt have put on the msd setup because by the time he has enough money for other stuff the ignition could be worn out.
and whoever said "most people know msd doesn't do shit", I disagree, unless you are talking specifically about the stock import motor in question. I know of many many V8's that would show an improvement over its stock setup with MSD (hei) ignition.
Now, was this post uncharacteristically civil for this thread, or what?

hmmmm, more sparks per cycle? more fuel burnt? nahhh....bam, thats one of the best money grabbers out there. more voltage to the coil does nothing. if you have a stock coil and a "high performance" coil next to eachother and you try them side by side with the same plug with same gap, they will both spark EXACTLY the same.
coils are lazy, they will only use exactly much juice as it requires to jump the gap. ie: if it only needs 17,893 volts to jump the gap, it will ONLY use 17,893 reguardless of how powerful your coil is. the only way to change how much juice is required is to change the gap. also under vaccume less voltage is required than at WOT. those are the only ways to get more juice out of a coil.i did not right this but i didnt feel like puting it in my own words. i just did i quick search on a different forum.

Give it the fuck up. your thread and you're argument are both pointless. now go hang yourself.
