K this seems to be a good thread to ask this...i want to get new shocks/springs for my 00 Accord. I want 1.5" drop. I was planning on getting Illuminas with Eibach Pro's. Is this a good setup or should I get something different? Budget is about $800. (I might get sway bars too but those are not in budget price)

well thats completly up to you. i would probably go with the function/form type2. theres WAY more adjustability, and it doesnt take travel out of the strut.

                  D2- crap
                  JIC- over priced
tanabe- i dont know anything about them
tein- there's better for the $$$
                  and i had a bad expierence with GC's (sleeve stripped/siezed, and all 4 tokico's blew..almost simotainiusly..and i probly spelt that wrong).

Thank you very much for the advice. That is definitely going to help me decide.

also...im trying to hold back....but the megans are hit/miss with their "race" coilovers. the silver body coilovers.

more people get lucky then not, and theyre the same as apexi coilovers...if that makes a difference. but i do know there is A (meaning singular) that bought them for his subaru. and he is in love with them. he had to mess around with the dampening for a little bit, but when he got it...he got it.

                      its all up to you.

H&R super race springs, BBK control arms, Tokico Blues, Strut/Shock tower bars. Plans Eibach sway bars, C/C plates, bumpsteer kit. So far I dig it. Haven't really put it up to much yet.

I have Eibach springs, with energy suspension swaybar links and bushings in the front. Stock shocks and struts. Nothing fancy but it looks better lower with the eibachs. I really should look into a bumpsteer kit though. 🙂

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall
Torque is how far you take the wall with you

A little of both if I can. But I highly doubt it will see a road course. I mainly just want it to be a fun street car.
