A Fargo police officer by the name if Jim (james) Ledoux contacted my wife by phone (cell) to ask her some questions regarding a celluar phone that had been stolen out of her car in september of 2007. It seems that two men Joe and Nicholas Rodriguez had since been using the phone for any number of illegal activities.

Jim proceeded to ask my wife what her relation to these men was (none), why they were using her phone (stolen) and why does Detective Jim get the feeling she's lying to him? Lol. He then tells her that the phone that was taken was definitely traced back to her number and that these men have been using the number and she should be checking her bill. BTW he's speaking to her on the cell number that is still connected to the stolen phone from 2 years ago (not possible).

At this point my wife actually laughs at him, and I assumes that someone is prank calling her. So she gets him full name, badge number etc and jumps on the net to check him out. Turns out he's real. She then spends that next 30 minutes explaining to this fossil of useless how cell phone plans work.\

The officer then accuses her of lying and trying to hide her connection with these men. He also trys to get her to give out her information to him. He says he wants the name of the officer that took the "stolen cellphone report" so she has to explain why reporting a stolen cellphone by itself without a break-in is about the most worthless waste of time in the fargo moorhead area, and has to politely express how useless he and his department are.

He tells her to make sure she doesn't leave town.

FYI my wife is a licensed child care provider, with degrees in child-development/family science and psycology and the whole time Jim is harassing her she is calmly taking care of some 8-9 odd children.

I hope he gets diahrea. Seriously these are the people who are supposed to solve crime? He doesn't even know how a cellphone works? What a Joke.

        Haha good read.

Sometimes they can be a handful (the FPD, not the toddlers).

Couple years ago, when I was a Sr, I was sitting at a red light for a good two mins when these black history month lovers/foreigners just smoke me in rear bumper (they also hit the person next to me as they thought swerving to hit 2 cars was better than one). As I was talking to the officer he started interrogating me, after seeing i was driving a Honda, about 'if I had been speeding/cutting people off before I went to the light.' Like it would freaking matter seeming as how I was stopped at a red light. Well needless to say, as i was a minor, I called my dad and he came and yelled at the douche bag. If any of you have seen my dad you would know why I did that...

So your wife still has the number that the stolen phone was attached to two years ago? And the "detective" called that number to talk to your wife?

lmao, why would he even call your wife? A simple call to the phones provider would show the history of the ESN# of the phone. Seems some people have skipped a few generations of evolution in the critical thinking process.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

most the cops ive encountered have been just total power abusing douche bags. There was one sweet girl cop we met though.

yeah, and he had a legit badge number etc. but the calling the number part is the funny part. I also double checked his info because the first thing I thought when she told me was: scammer.
