The funny thing is that if they met each other at the track they prolly would get along famously. 🙂

Ya guys, I thinks this has been blown way out of proportion. I blame Bill for this. Stop starting fast car threads.

So anyways, I was sanding down the header flange this am and just smoked checked my 6"X48" belt sander. Time for a new motor. I think I'll to get a 1 hp instead of the 3/4 hp in there.

Never thought of that. The drain will still be on the bottom.

Here are some close up welds. These are about as good as I get. Give me some 1/4"+ plate and a stick welder.

Those pics are mighty small but thats damn good for a stick welder. Looks like you might have a little bit of undercut on the top.

Turbos should be ok to ~30 degrees of tilt. I'd imagine you won't have much of an issue at that angle.

I was chatting with the owner of this car last night. He had the same concept in a 57' and built this vehicle. He said he has no problems whatsoever. His are mounted 30* , mine wil be about 20*.

I thought it looked pretty good too. I got one side all welded up. Still need to add the w/g and start the other side. I'll have to move the inlet on the radiator now.

serious? my gn made well into the 600s on pump gas all the time. And using simple math and dragstrip calculators put it in the 700hp area, and i never even turned it up at the strip. Now my T/A will make quite a bit more than 700hp, hopefully it will hook
