You don't want to participate in a valid, insightful conversation about tuning. You want to fight and put other people down. That's why I didn't answer you...this thread isn't supposed to be about that. The point is, if it's not for you? Cool. No problem. Don't be 14 about it, though. Your way isn't the only way OR the best way, just like mine isn't.?
Nope not starting a fight..... just giving an opinion....... isn't that the point?
The only reason i got into this is because you had a retarded statement.....saying that what you said were hard facts, and others' opinions were just that... opinions............. where in truth your "facts" are based on the opinons of others, nothing else.
IMO it is hardly worth the money for the guy when for less money you could have the car strapped to an actual dyno, and have a competent tuner have at it..........
So what does this guy bring to the table??????? Is he bringing his own WB O2 to log and make corrections?? or are you supposed to provide your own? What system is he bringing to log your engine RPM vs AFR?? or does he just expect everyone to have a system capable to do this??
or everyone just get HPT Pro ..... because it perty much tunes itself with a WB hooked up to the system....

And it's apparently not a waste of money, or people wouldn't SPEND the money. Let's keep opinion/preference seperate from fact.I don't believe I was inferring ANY fact at all on my own part, rather establishing that YellowEvo's statement that road tuning is a waste of money is HIS own opinion. So I'm still not sure what "facts based on the opinions of others" you think I'm claiming.

or please show me scientific law showing this as fact?Still don't know what "this" refers to.
But yeah. Good job whipping out that e-peen right away, anyway. Especially when you don't actually understand what's being said. :icon_thumright:
As for your legitimate, non-retarded questions...Mike brings his own wideband AFR meter and a RaceLogic Driftbox when he does tuning away from his shop.

Well, we got a few people with some valid, serious interest, but not enough. So, Mike won't be coming, and I'll be heading to RS Motors to get tuned.

He's right, I was already at RS for a bit on Friday/Saturday. We did the motor break-in and driveability tuning. Ron seems like a great guy, and happily educates you when your knowledge falls short...and the rest of the RS guys are pretty cool, too. I have to say, I was INFINITELY happier pulling up to RS Motors and seeing the pure sex in the form of car candy in their parking lot (a number of Evos, STis, and others), compared to seeing NOTHING at DB Performance when I was there in December. It reinforced the thought that I'd made a good choice. I'm going back there tomorrow for the full throttle/full boost tune.

DB > RS.
Who cares about what cars they have sitting in their parking lot? Why not look at past tunes and clientele? DB has tuned the baddest of the bad.

I honestly didn't feel that confident with DB. I think they do a fantastic job with Mustangs. I'm not so sure about Subarus. But who can ever say for sure?
Anyway, I'm happy with what I've got, and I'll have some dyno numbers tomorrow.

Ron is good people.

They don't do such a good job with MustangsI got to see some pretty sick projects while I was there in December...no finished product, though.

The can ran worse when it left than when it came in. DB tried to tell him that he needed to get a custom grind camshaft. :bullshit:
HiTech tuned it without an issue.
