jumped on the anti-weapons ban bandwagon

So i went to scheels today and lo and behold, there was 1 of the very gun i have been trying to order in for months. So, i couldnt let the opportunity pass up right? Bought it. Guy said it came in Wed. and he just put it out about 2 hours before i came in, said he doesnt expect them to get any more for at least 4 months.

DPMS Panther 7.62 (.308) Sportical, picked up a M4 stock, grip, and a green laser for it, great investment IMHO and i got it for cost, so win for me! I am going to dissasemble it and do a barrel lightning on the lathe sometime this summer to drop some weight, and get a bipod, I have a pretty good scope to put on it already if i feel like it. -
Looks good. I like. How many of them do they order in a year?
Not hating but maybe just a quick question to you all; Why is everyone getting 'assault rifle' style guns and the sudden fascination with them? Why not a Winchester or Remington? Like I said, just wondering what the sudden kick is with the AR-15's and such.
-
cause im the shit? The reason is that rifles, pistols, and shotguns will not currently and probably never will be banned. The assault weapons ban is still on the table from our dipshit congress and president, so buying it now kinda guarantees that you will have one if they are banned again

Obama said he won't pursue renewing an AWB again.
Now we will see if they try sneakier tactics like ammo pricing and other ways of making gun ownership harder or more of a hassle.

Hes backpedaling bigtime now after the teaparties and the like. there are a lot of pissed of people with his admin right now, that bitch Napolitano basically saying, if you were in the military , love your god and love your country then you may be a domestic terrorist. But.... yes the ban worries are why people are buying them big time.

Here's the flash suppressor you should get.

nice pick up!

no gun ban anymore I guess
Obama had pledged during his campaign to seek renewal of the ban but has bowed to the reality that such a move would be unpopular in politically key U.S. states and among Republicans as well as some conservative Democrats.

AR-10 FTW!
you might want to look into a Smith Vortex hider. I recently found out that they also accept Smith QD suppressors, but to get one on the civvy market you have to look up a dude going by "Fisher Enterprises".
Offtopic: anyone know of anywhere in town to get Mosin-Nagants?

I've got a Smith Vortex hider on one of my AR15s and it is nice.

Semi-auto, yes, mag fed guns. basically, if it looks mean the jerk offs wanna ban it. sounds like after the demonstrations and stuff Obama and his buddy's are backpedaling on the issue and changing their tune. (for now)

.308> .223
the ar-10 i was looking at was about 100 buck more than my ar-15, but it was pretty basic

i haven't seen any AR-10s for under $1400. Is it possible to get them cheaper than that?
Also, I called Gander Mountain and they said they were out of them. The guy ont he phone also didn't know what they were called, he asked the other guy "do we have any more of those really old rifles?".
