opposed to who would give the Vikings a better chance to win? -
he proved he wasnt washed up when he played for the jets..if he were washed up he would have played for the lions or dolphins

He doesn't need to win any games, just not lose them.

The Jets went 1-4 in their last 5 games (and it was a miracle that the Jets won the one game against Buffalo) and I honestly blame most of it on Favre. He was just terrible at the end of last season and I think his play had a lot to do with the Jets crumbling.
With that said, I'd take him over TJack or Sage in a heartbeat. My biggest concern in bringing him in is making the same mistake that NY made in going away from the running game just because we have Brett Favre.

do you really see the vikings going away from the running game?

I think our boring offense will work in Favre's favor actually. He just needs to be a threat. He's never had a running game or defense like we've had. I think thats why he is such a "gunslinger". The decision making and the ability to check all of his reads will be the most beneficial. Numerous times last year there were plays "left on the field" by our QBs.

Having him around just to provide leadership to the young QBs is worth its weight in gold as well.

I'm just excited to have a QB with proven potential. He proved last year that he isn't in his prime, but I agree that he can't be worse than TJackson... Hopefully he is out to prove something this year, and get eliminate one of the biggest offensive issues the Vikings have had for years.

I still hope they go 0-16 so they can draft Tebow next year
