Which is exactly what he can't do. He played really, really bad to close the season last year. The Jets went 1-4 in their last 5 games (and it was a miracle that the Jets won the one game against Buffalo) and I honestly blame most of it on Favre. He was just terrible at the end of last season and I think his play had a lot to do with the Jets crumbling.

With that said, I'd take him over TJack or Sage in a heartbeat. My biggest concern in bringing him in is making the same mistake that NY made in going away from the running game just because we have Brett Favre.

        Washed up.

Been that way for years. He needs to quit. He could cry his ass off all over TV again, but nobody is gonna have sympathy for him anymore.

Best football take I've heard from you yet.

I think our boring offense will work in Favre's favor actually. He just needs to be a threat. He's never had a running game or defense like we've had. I think thats why he is such a "gunslinger". The decision making and the ability to check all of his reads will be the most beneficial. Numerous times last year there were plays "left on the field" by our QBs.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Having him around just to provide leadership to the young QBs is worth its weight in gold as well.

With the head coach we have, nothing is out of the realm of possibilities. Not saying they should revolve the offense around Favre but I could see it happen.

I'm just excited to have a QB with proven potential. He proved last year that he isn't in his prime, but I agree that he can't be worse than TJackson... Hopefully he is out to prove something this year, and get eliminate one of the biggest offensive issues the Vikings have had for years.

Really? Really? Tony come on, you can't be that dense. He'll get drafted, as a QB and do just fine. He can read a defense better than Dirty Sanchez can.

Dense? Ouch. They don't run the triple offense in the NFL Heath. There is no way he gets drafted as a top QB. He wasn't even projected to go in the first 3 rounds this year if he left early. He's NOT an NFL quarterback, regardless of what he does in college.

FYI, Tebow gets the word by helmet what receiver to goto prior to the snap.

No way in hell he'll be able to project an NFL defense, especially when he'll have to start taking snaps under center.

Except NO ONE is expecting him to be a top drafted QB like Leaf was. I'd compare him more to another Heisman and National Championship QB from Florida....Danny Weurfel. He was huge at Florida but did exactly nothing in the NFL. Look at the list of Heisman QBs since 1990 and see how many have had succesful NFL careers. I count 1 (Carson Palmer). College success doesn't mean anything to NFL scouts.

1990 Ty Detmer Brigham Young QB Jr. 1,482

Brad Childress called off meetings with Brett Favre to pursue trading up in the 2010 draft to select Nick Mertens as the #1 overall selection (right Kirk and Tony?;))
