Stroked/sleeved Ej257 is definately worth it. Still looking on new tranny perhaps dogbox, I've heard mixed reviews on the easy street.
the easy street auto transmission is supposedly bulletproof. The mixed reviews I've heard from easystreet is that their dyno reads insanely low (like 100whp below everyone elses).actually, someone (can't remember who now) is making a semi-closed deck built 2.8 liter shortblock engine for like $7500 (I could be WAY off on that price, it just stuck in my head). The same place also does crazy head work as well for a fair price (relatively speaking) so I'll probably just get a long block from them.

I remember reading that too, I think its some small shop in the Bronx or something, I read it on wrxhackers.com...I'll look for that motor build up.

Kotton Mouth King Concert on friday too, cant make it been looking forward to this for A LONG TIME.
As for my dyno tune, I think I'm going to let Dan @ Godspeed take care of it. From what I hear he took care of Shane's wagon quite well. He seems to be the best out of tuning our subies for sure.

Uhh, just for clarification..
- I thought you totalled your WRX?
- I thought you already had a bigger turbo, at least thats what I read here (and tjamz did too)?
- I thought you had an appt at SLS to get a bunch of work done on you car a few weeks ago?
- I thought Godspeed already did the tuning on your car?
I guess I'm confused again.

Not trying to disprove anyone here, just posting what I have seen said on here.

Nope got rear ended in the WRX, SLS was going to do something but Nick said he was booked so I had it done elsewhere. I called him maybe 2 weeks ago. And I needed it done ASAP. nope I want Godspeed to do it, but I dont have the time to go to MI lately. Hopefully soon when I have enough PTO available. Can you grant me some PTO big boss?
I already used mine up. -
Tjamz, the guy your going to in Minneapolis, is he pretty well known for some decent tunes? The only reason why I'm interested with Dan is he's a well known member on a couple forums (IE clubwrx.net, Nasioc, etc) and seemed to do quite well with Shanes VF34 setup. What kind of experience does the person your going to have and on what kind of setups does he tend to prefer? Definately interested as Minneapolis is just a weekend drive, while MI is planning out a vacation.

From what I can tell, he has done a lot of audis and quite a few WRX's. Someone once told me (and I could be wrong here) that the guy doing the tuning was the tuner from Elite, and has a good rep as being able to tune about anything. They are only setup to work with the UTEC at this time, but I'm sure if you showed up w/ something else (Vishnu/Link/Delta/Element, etc) and had the software they would work with you to tune it.
I'll let you know just how good they are after this weekend. They told me ~340 to 350 WHP on pump gas is possible and ~370-380 WHP on c16 should be doable as well. Those are THEIR numbers, not mine. I'm happy w/ any HP # as long as the car is tuned to its potential. Thats all I really want.

Oh, and EasyStreet makes some gut-wrenching packages, but a bit on the spendy side. What exactly is 740 hp in a sorted package worth (32k seems a bit steep for my pocketbook): http://esxmotorsports.com/esx.htm
