We aren't shitting on a local business, he's shitting on himself with his work ethic.

If that will make you or Matt feel better by reopening that thread, go for it (at least we have the gonads to show who is posting, instead of hiding behind an secretive screen name). The main difference between the 2 situations are:

                      1. Our issue was directly related to a lost certification in the 1997 flood in Grand Forks. There isn't a form sent out to renew, and it was something that was overlooked. Poor business ETHICS, No. Poor business PAPERWORK SKILLZ, yes. Shane nor I went to school to own/manage a business. We became bigger than ever expected (Tintmasters was created from tinting cars in a home garage, to our current locations which we are already overgrowing...not an elaborate business plan and loans from banks). We became this successful from offering quality products and quality customer service.

                      2. The issue with MDG is that he continues to offer good products and good work, but poor business ethics. This has resulted in major inconveniences to us as a business, and our good customers (Brandon's RSX sat here for months awaiting a build from Matt). Brandons car sitting here for months puts a risk of something happening to his car, and forced us to push the car in and out of the shop, as the space his car is occupying was needed.

The hate goes both directions....Matt has always loved to attack us in anyway, and when the hate goes the other direction, it is 'uncalled for'.

We have many businesses in this area that are/were offering horrible product or service, but we don't thrive off hating on a competitor....but the hate Matt has directed to us in the past, became so old that we finally decided to play the silly games....Especially knowing that our good customers on FS are behind us and PM'ing us on a regular basis telling us thanks for putting him in his place.

Also im glad to know when im out at a local grocery store or wherever, the WHOLE tintmaster crew is always nice to say hello back or able to take the time and bullshit with somebody like me. I have great respect for Shane,Jason,Frietag,Scott, and Kyle. I was very privileged to clean most of their vehicles in the past and have thier trust to do so..it sucks that im not doing that anymore but someday..someday. Thanks again guys for all that you have done for me and the rest of the scene.. KEEP IT GOING

guess you will have to try something different next time to get the troops riled up.

FWIW, Max just brought in the completed manifold for xracer, and I can honestly say that it is a masterpiece. I love the radical look of it and once again will say that Matt does amazing work... I wish the time frames were consistent with promises, because I would be more than comfortable offering his products to our customers. Stuff is nice.

im not entirely sure why you assume i am full of animosity towards you anyways, i was just pointing out that tm has closed threads that reflected poorly on your business. sls has had threads closed as well which is why i find it amusing that both of you guys are harping on him.

Getcher green hat, we are goin fishin.

Ok im being completely serious and honest here but, isn't 4 weeks for a manifold that is essentially free actually pretty decent? Iv never bought a manifold from some place out west or had a custom manifold made at ___ before, but to me I dont think 4 weeks is too bad at all. Now, I don't know any of the details about what was suppose to go down, but it seems like max, or xracer, wanted a manifold for free (practically) and done in like a week?

Now don't get me wrong, saying it will be done in XX days and doing the complete opposite isn't very good at all, but like I said before...I have no idea what was said or what the arrangement was. When looking at this I just see some guy getting a aweasome manifold for dirt cheap complaining about it taking a month. I dunno...basically **cliff notes:

Can someone tell me how long it took them to get a custom manifold made from a shop out west/east/whatever?

I think this was lead down an odd path. I have no animosity towards you, and didn't think you did towards me/us either.... There is a lot of people that get sick of Matt's rude attitude on this site, so when a legitimate thread comes up, the bash fest starts. There is also people on here that dislike me/us, and when a thread comes up, they jump on it as well. Vicious circle that I am cool with dropping anytime the other parties are as well. The track 'hate' threads were left to fizzle out, as have many of our other threads. They weren't closed.

We just got a Bisimoto header in the mail today that is built off a spec sheet of mods for Shane's ITR. Including shipping, is was 17 days. They claimed 2-3 weeks build time.

If Matt were to say 3-4 weeks for building a manifold, and then it takes 3-4 weeks, there is nothing to bitch about from anyone. If he says 2 weeks, and then it is 4, 6, 10 weeks, then that is where issues start....especially when the customer has a race/event that they plan to attend, but can't because their promised part isn't done. Price negociated is price negociated. If Matt said the manifold would be $250 and done in 2 weeks, you can't go back on your word and say 'well for god's sake, I am building you a $1000 manifold for $250....so what if it is taking me more time than promised'. Price paid is what the manifold was offered for. I think that $250 for what I just saw today was a kick in the nuts for Matt, but that is what he agreed too.

Being the manifold is done, I think this is a perfect time for things to start over. The manifold is bad ass, and further proves that Matt has the talent to offer manifolds with some of the best in the industry (pending some testing on durability and power increases). Hopefully this can be a learning experience, because it would be a shame for talent to get wasted by someone that just simply doesn't want to use it.
