B series swap = overrated.
D series w/turbo = very underrated.

I don't agree with this 100%, I agree that some b-series swaps are over rated, especially the b16 imo. But there are others that are good bang for your buck b18b, etc.
although I do agree with the single cam being under rated for a very long time. people are finally starting to realize their potential.

If you read, i am not going to get the $850 kit. sounds too cheap too me. I am picking up the $1400 one than buying the Fuel Preasure Reg, AFC, Possibly Intercooler, Injectors, Fuel Pump, MBC, Boost Guage. It will run me close to $2000. It has basically everything that comes in the Drag Kit. Same Exact turbo, wastegate is same brand, im gettin a Greddy Type-RS BOV with it too.

you get what you pay for

if you can turbo your car and do it right for 1800 dollars dont you think there would be more turbo cars running around?
-
Thats only parts, install, clutch and other misc shit it will be more than that. it will be around 2000 for the turbo stuff, prolly more. So its about the price of any other kit, just a lil less about 500 less. and its all stuff that Drag uses in their kits.

Fortunately I got rid of the car that would have cost a FORTUNE to make fast and bought a car that had at least a couple things going for it already....but it still cost me about $3k more than I originally thought...but then again, my original plans were much smaller too...then I started hanging out w/ Matt and Dave and they corrupted me.

or you could just spend $500 more and get a true non-ebay'ed turbo kit from SLS that im sure will kick the one you are talking abouts ass...that and it comes with a warranty and theres no shipping to you involved...worth it to me if i was you...that and if anything happens at all im sure SLS would fix it for ya...bottom line (as i have found out before myself) online = sucks, actual store = good...so yea, thats my .02

everyone puts this out to be rocket science. If you want quality, you gotta pay, bottom line. quality and quantity does not cost $1400. I figured after spending about 2 grand on my car I would be in the 12s. $8000 later it's broken. All I'm saying is be carefull when you do buy a turbo setup. Everyone is out to make a buck.

nah, not making fun of you at all. My first "Tuner" was an 88 Prelude Si. Hard car to find parts for, though the parts that could be found were usually pretty decent.
