Sfi 25.5
-
Started work on getting the rollcage complete to SFI 25.5 spec. Metalworking is sorta fun... if you don't mind test fitting things 3 or 4 thousand times.

X-Brace on drivers door
X_Brace and rocker bar
X-brace, rocker bar and seat mount bar
Front crossmember (at an angle) is coming out and going in completely under the floor.
Seat mount bar again

You are going to need a lot more duct tape for that to hold together.

Where does the bar that goes towards the transmission tunnel go to?

Look at this picture, you can see where the bar connects.

Bring it. I need some shit tacked together so it quits falling apart as I work on other stuff. Duct tape ain't cutting it.:bom:
That is only because you are clearly not using enough...

Yep, it gets worse as I add the funnycar cage. I plan on adding removable joints in my hips and knees to make it easier to get in and out. :icon_albino:Hell, at your age I figured you already had more bolt-on parts than your car does.

Made more progress, pulled the oem steering column out and getting ready for an aftermarket column with removable steering wheel. Practiced a bit with the tig and got one side tacked in, a couple of my tack welds don't even look like complete poo. Got part of the funny car cage fitted.

Fire that welder up and finish it!
Good move with the removable wheel, its going to help you shoehorn in a lot. If you dont want your wheel to wobble get a MW hub.
